You know the old question “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”. From a marketing and design perspective, this is a particularly relevant question to ask. If your marketing/design message is not heard, does it make a sound?

No, probably not. It’s all about impact. Maximizing the impact of your message will greatly increase it’s chances of being heard. Creating a giant “tree” that is quickly and efficiently dropped so that it maximizes its impact will absolutely make a sound that will be heard.

Take a look at the above portrait. It’s beautifully done. It has a nice frame. If it’s on an empty wall with no other paintings, it would have some impact. However, if it’s in a museum full of other beautiful paintings, it’s impact decreases substantially. Throw some bright paint on it, like you see above, it then stands out and has impact.

Your design and marketing efforts, no matter if it’s in print or on the web, will always be competing for attention. The secret is to always be ready and willing to throw some paint on it. Make a statement. Stand out.

This takes courage, of course. Blending in is easy and expected. Having the guts to boldly go where everyone else is not is often rewarded with attention. And attention is generally rewarded with impact. Therefore, your design and marketing message gains more impact. And impact drives sales and/or increases interest in your company/organization and its message.

Here at Evolv Design, we can of course create print and web designs that will not go outside your comfort zone. However, for maximum impact, consider making a bigger noise. Just let us know. We’re ready to help you make a tremendous impact.
