Inbound marketing: How good design can boost effectiveness

First, let’s start with a quick definition. Inbound marketing is designed to pull in your target audience to consider your products or services. Unlike outbound marketing which pushes out your marketing message (think ads, etc.), inbound marketing works by offering content that your audience finds valuable. And to be effective, it needs to attract, engage and delight your audience. 

So, this is where a good designer can play a critical role to make it successful. An experienced designer has the knowledge, skills, and creativity to work with you to craft this content and help to make it an effective achievement. 

Some of the channels that can be used:

  • A website
  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • Video
  • Direct mail
  • Digital and analog advertising and displays

And there are a few designers out there, like me, who have experience and expertise in most or all of these channels so it helps keep the effort cohesive and easy for you to accomplish. 

A good design is one that can attract the attention of your target audience, then engage and delight them to the point where they reach out to you to learn more or purchase your products or services. It seems simple enough, but it can be quite challenging to craft the right mix of elements into the right channel to maximize results. A seasoned designer can be the perfect partner to make this happen.
